Has Tom McCarthy actually read the Bible or maybe he has a problem with basic comprehension?

The basic tenet of Jesus was to believe in him or burn in Hell! Quote:"If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown in the fire and burned."John 15:6. When Jesus returns at the second coming all those who are not Christian will be slaughtered! Quote:"...when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance upon those who do not know God and upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction (etc)" 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9. This punishment for not believing is quite explicit is it not and forms the bedrock of Christianity. It's not open to interpretation.
