A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.
THOMAS CLARK, 23, of Blenheim Road, St Dials, Cwmbran, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Alexandra Road, Sebastopol, Pontypool, on February 16.
He was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
BRANDON WALLIS, 19, of Stanfield Street, Cwm, Ebbw Vale, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Bryn Serth Road on April 16.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
LEWIS JOHNSON, 29, of Swallow Drive, Fleur-de-Lys, near Blackwood, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Cromwell Road, Risca, on February 17.
He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
CALUM THOMAS, 32, of Clos Durand, Abergavenny, was ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to public disorder on February 9.
DANIEL JOHN THOMAS, 43, of Vale View, Abergavenny, was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge after he admitted public disorder on February 9.
KONRAD HELMAN, 28, of Steeplechase Road, Duffryn, Newport, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Pencarn Way on February 13.
He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
SEAN WILLIAM THOMAS STEDMAN, 35, of Fernhill Terrace, Phillipstown, Caerphilly, was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen and failing to surrender.
He was ordered to pay £279 in fines, costs and a surcharge.
RAYMOND MYLES, 58, of Church Road, Newport, was conditionally discharged for six months after he admitted being drunk and disorderly on Cambrian Road on August 15.
He was ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.
HENRY GEORGE DAWSON, 37, of Maryport Street, Usk, was ordered to pay £815.90 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to depositing controlled waste – black bag waste – at recycling facilities at Penhow, Newport, without the authority of a current environmental permit on September 9.
CHRISTINE KENNY, 33, of Clifton Place, Newport, was ordered to pay £384 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after it was proved in her absence that she threw down, dropped or otherwise deposited litter, namely a can and left it in/on the floor in Upper Dock Street on August 12.
DEBORAH WATTS, 54, of Mill Lane, Caldicot, was ordered to pay £334 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to fly tipping household waste on land on multiple locations along Highmoor Hill Road, Five Lanes, Caerwent, Monmouthshire, on April 14, 2020.
BILLY PRICE, 43, of Risca Road, Newport, was ordered to pay £334 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without a licence on Temple Street on March 24.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
STEPHEN MICHAEL DAVID SHAW, 30, of Laburnum Drive, Newport, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Beatty Road on March 24.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
GAVIN VAUGHAN, 42, of Dafalog Terrace, Phillipstown, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
