A CYCLIST in his 60s was hospitalised on the weekend following a crash in Cwmbran.
On Sunday (November 14) morning emergency services were at the scene of the incident on Henllys Way in Cwmbran, with a temporary road closure between the Blinkin’ Owl pub and Teynes.
The collision involved a car and a bike, with the 60-year-old cyclist from Cwmbran taken to hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision involving a bicycle and a car at the junction of Henllys Way and Teynes, Cwmbran, at around 9.15am on Sunday, November 14.
“Officers attended to assist with traffic management and the cyclist, a 60-year-old man from the Cwmbran area, was taken to the Grange University Hospital for treatment for a hip.
"His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing at this time and anyone with information that could assist our investigation, including CCTV or dashcam footage, should call 101, quoting log reference 2100399688.
