OFFERING stunning views from its conservatory and patio of the famous Monmouthshire and Brecon canal, Penelope’s Café in Old Abergavenny Rd, Llanover, has the perfect backdrop to enjoy a light lunch, snack or refreshing hot or cold drink at any time of the year.
There is a fabulous selection of food available, ranging from delicious hand-made cakes and traybakes, to a spectacular Sunday roast.
The venue is well-known for being dog-friendly and offers a special Sunday lunch for your canine companion which can be enjoyed in The Snug.
If you’re an early bird, why not try one of its amazing breakfast options? There is a choice of traditional hearty options for the larger appetite, as well as smaller plates and vegetarian dishes.
A firm favourite is its spectacular afternoon teas, which are full to bursting with delicious sweet and savoury things to eat – booking in advance is required.
Penny and her team promise a warm welcome and are happy to cater for a variety of dietary requirements and allergies.
Penelope’s café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, a children’s play area, plus free Wi-fi access.
The café area is also available to hire for all sorts of occasions, whether it’s for an anniversary, birthday party or special event.
Outside catering can also be arranged, making it an idyllic venue for birthday and anniversary celebrations, even weddings.
