TEMPERATURES in some parts of Monmouthshire and Torfaen could plummet to -6C tonight, but the good news is clear skies are on the way.
Forecasts for East Monmouthshire and the Gloucestershire border predict some light snow this afternoon but clear, starry skies from around 6pm tonight. Temperatures overnight will deep to -2C, rising to 1C by the morning.
In Torfaen, Brecon and Newport, again the picture is for clear skies tonight but temperatures will be -5C or -6C in higher areas. Sunny skies will dominate South-East Wales until the weekend, though low temperatures means snow will take a while to melt.
More light snow may fall on Sunday, it is predicted.
