Division 1 champions Underwood Social 'A' started the new campaign with an 8-2 victory against Tippling Philosopher.
Goals were bagged by Richard Snell (4), James McManus (2), David Rees and Ashley Edinborough.
Sudbrook Cricket Club 'A' began their season with a hard-fought victory at Chepstow Town, winning 4-3.
Adrian Briggs, Andrew Maine, James Pugh and Mark Cochrane scored for Sudbrook, while Chris Lewis (2) and Joe Jenkins replied for Chepstow.
Portskewett 'A' and Undy Athletic battled out a 1-1 draw, Simon Hathaway scoring for Portskewett.
Asda came away from Monmouth Town 'A' with all three points after defeating the home side 4-2.
In Division two, new boys Mathern Wanderers are on cloud nine after their 9-2 victory over Monmouth Town 'B'.
Goals for Mathern came from Robert Kennedy (3), Jamie Davies (2), Daniel Windos (2), Nathan Jones and Darren Antanelis.
Caldicot Castle's teams had mixed fortunes: the 'A' side won 8-1 against Bulwark, Anthony Robbins scoring a hat trick to take his total for the current season to five. Warren Jones scored two and Rob Morgan, Dean Watkins and Richard Beech one each.
But the 'B' side were hammered 10-0 by an impressive looking young Underwood Social 'B' side.
Sudbrook Cricket Club 'B' proved too strong for Thornwell Burnt Barn. Veteran Carl Arthur chipped in with all four goals with young Terry Watkins playing a part in all four. Thornwell's goals came from Sean Kearney and sure shot Peter Ackerman.
Finally, Chepstow Athletic carried on their good start to the season with a 2-0 away win at Tintern Abbey 'B'.
