ON MONDAY night, the Governing Body of Monmouth Comprehen-sive School unanimously voted to adopt the Site Development Plan.
The plan, jointly produced by the School and officers of the County Council, sets out a four-phase building programme for the campus to meet both the shortfall in specialist accommodation and maintenance needs to fulfil the demands of the curriculum, and the Welsh Assembly Government's objective that all schools should be fit for purpose for the 21st century.
It is estimated some £21 million will be required to meet the outcomes of the plan, and will be used to actively seek the necessary funding. T he Governing Body welcomed the plan and congratulated the school and county council in providing an exciting vision for the future.
