Pictured is county councillor Phil Murphy (chairman of the Lower Wye Area committee) presenting a cheque to Jenny Gough, the owner of Tin Pan Alley.
The cheque represents a contribution from the Lower Wye Area committee toward the cost of fees to be paid to celebrity chef, Brian Turner. Mr Turner will be presenting two demonstrations of cooking skills and techniques using recipes from England and Wales. He will also be answering questions posed by those watching the demonstrations and also in Tin Pan Alley between 4pm and 5pm. The demonstrations will take place from 2pm to 3.30pm and 7pm to 9pm in the Beaufort Hotel. All of this will be taking place on November 29.
Mrs Gough is confident that this initiative - supported by the St Mary Street traders - will attract people to Chepstow in general and to St Mary Street in particular thus continuing the revitalising of Chepstow town centre. Michael Collins of the Beaufort Hotel is providing The Florence Court (free of charge) to help in achieving this aim.
Tickets for the two demonstrations are available from Tin Pan Alley and can be purchased by calling into the shop or phoning 01291 628311.
