The winner of our recent Quentin Blake competition received a surprise visit recently by David Sansom, owner of the Old Smithy Gallery in Usk, the exclusive retailer of Quentin Blake's work in South Wales.
Charlotte Jeffries, of St Arvans, won a framed limited edition print, signed by Quentin Blake.
David was delighted to be able to present Charlotte with her prize, and equally so with the response to the competition, which mirrored the interest generated through his gallery this summer. "This is the first time that Quentin Blake has released a collection of signed, limited edition artwork, and the fact that it is now virtually sold out in such a short time suggests it was well worth waiting for. There is no doubt that these prints are already collector's items," he said.
