If you go down to Usk on Saturday December 3, you'll be in for a great surprise - as this historic town steps back in time to recreate a Victorian Christmas.
Following last year's successful Victorian Day, Usk Chamber of Trade has appealed to more local groups, organisations and businesses to help recreate the atmosphere of a by-gone age.
Picture a busy, bustling open air market around the former Town Hall, which is now the home of the Royal British Legion, housing the Usk Farmer's Market.
Twyn Square will host a Victorian Fair with rides and side shows from yesteryear.
Located around the town will be stalls run by local charity groups and handmade crafts will be available, allowing the opportunity to purchase that special Christmas gift.
During the day you will hear hand bells, church bells and music by Usk Town Band around the town, and a busking accordion player on the snowy cobbles outside the Old Smithy Gallery.
Should you be overcome by hunger, a soup kitchen perhaps? If that is not to your taste, there will be an array of good fare within the taverns of the town.
Keeping order will be police constables dressed for the occasion and at The Sessions House there will be an exhibition of journals and photographs of Victorian prison life.
You can also visit the Rural Life Museum, home to a vast collection of Victoriana.
