COACH Ben Bannon was left fuming with his players after Mardy gave away a late equaliser at Cwmffrwdoer on Saturday - saying his side needed to concentrate for 90 minutes, not 89.
The league leaders had found themselves 2-0 down to their hosts after only ten minutes, but Bannon later praised his side for displaying the character to claw the game back and be leading 3-2 in the dying minutes.
But a rebounded penalty at the death was met by the following up Cwmffrwdoer strikers and cost Mardy two points.
Bannon said afterwards: "I was a bit disappointed with the 3-3 result. After coming back from two goals down, we had dominated and controlled most of the game but had switched off at the end."
Mardy had arrived late for the First Division clash, and Bannon later attributed his side's sluggish start to an improper warm-up.
He said: "We didn't get going until after they were 2-0 up but showed great character and created loads of chances which we didn't take."
Mardy were finally rewarded for their contribution thanks to an own-goal just before half time. And a second-half brace from Jonathan Davies, one right after the break and the other midway through the period, seemed likely to give the visitors all three points.
But, despite Mardy's Tom Indge saving the late spot-kick, Cwmffrwdoer were first to pounce on the rebound to snatch a point.
Bannon's side still top the division, but chasing Spencer Youth have two games in hand.
Mardy's next game, a week on Saturday, sees them entertain North East Gwent League outfit Castle United in the cup.
