FOLLOWING a considerable number of complaints from the public concerning the anti-social behaviour of a Chepstow juvenile, this person has now agreed with parental approval an acceptable behaviour contract (ABC).
The ABC points out what is acceptable behaviour and what is not, and provides guidance.
Officers stationed at Chepstow are made aware of the person and the conditions within the ABC. Any further bad behaviour will be reported to the crime and disorder reduction officer with a view to move on to an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo).
PC Tony O'Connor said: "While at a recent Thornwell residents meeting we within the Policing Partnership made comments that require action. This ABC is a step in that direction and shows we are listening to people's concerns and will continue to do so.
"This is a consensual approach to deal with, and improve unacceptable behaviour. If this ABC contract works, the community and the individual will have gone a long way in solving the problem."
