THE RECENT minute's silence at Chepstow RFC was an emotional affair as the gathered dignitaries remembered the life of Daniel Thorne - their 25 year-old scrum half who served them for seven years until he died in a road accident in Cardiff on Friday, November 11.
The friendly, on November 18, saw Chepstow host the Green Howards regimented in a spirited match which ended 24-24. Prior to kick -off, the two clubs observed a one minute silence, while the Chepstow players wore a new kit branded with a redesigned badge with the initials 'DT9' emblazoned on it in Daniel's memory.
