Bulwark Juniors travelled to Undy in the East Gwent Under-15 league and participated in a thrilling 11-goal encounter.
Bulwark took control of the game from the kick-off and had most of the possesion in the first half, which saw them take a 2-0 lead into the interval, with a goal apiece for Sam Rushworth and Neil Hampton.
Undy came out after the restart and caught Bulwark asleep, bringing the game to 2-1 in the opening minutes.
The Bulls regrouped and pushed forward again, dominating the game and soon went 3-1 ahead when Rushworth again found the back of the Undy goal.
Moments later, Undy broke through and brought the deficit back to 3-2. Hampton scored again to give the Bulls a deserved two-goal lead, only to see Undy score again to bring it to 4-3.
The game could have gone either way from here on, but Bulwark seemed to hit a higher gear, with two goals in two minutes. The first was again from Rushworth before a classic solo effort from Jason Saunders, taking on five players before unleashing a thunderbolt from 35 yards which can only be termed as the goal of the season.
Undy managed to get it back to 6-4, only to see Sam Rushworth make it 7-4 when he scored his fourth of the day when a Jon Blamire free kick dropped neatly on to his right foot and he casually looped the ball over the advancing keeper.
