MORE than 200 boys and girls from primary schools in the Abergavenny area took part in a netball and football tournament at King Henry School last week.
The event was organised by Randy Lewis of KHS PE department. He said: "This is the first time I've organised two tournaments on the same day, but thanks to the hard work of the senior KHS students it went smoothly.
"The atmosphere was fantastic. To see children shaking hands and clapping each other at the end of their games was fantastic."
Gilwern won the netball with Deri View runners up.
The football was won by Our Lady and St Michael Roman Catholic School with Gilwern as runners up.
The trophies were presented by Liz Parry, deputy head of KHS.
