Why is Johnny being so Rotten about his long-lost half-sister?
A TESCO store manager from Chepstow has spoken about the Rotten treatment dealt out by her famous brother after discovering their family ties.
Janet Small, from Lady Margaret Court, had known since a young age that she had been adopted, but it was not until she saw John Lydon - aka Johnny Rotten of Sex Pistols fame - on television that it became clear he was her half-brother.
Janet, 51, who was brought up in London and moved to Chepstow in 1991, first started to try and trace her family in the '80s, but she was restrained by old adoption laws.
She even tried to find her family through Cilla Black's show Surprise Surprise, but to no avail.
However, with new laws coming into place, she was able to get access to her adoption file, where she found a letter from her mum Eileen. It also had details about her family and she discovered her mother had married a John Lydon Snr.
"When I looked at my file it was very emotional.
"I found out that my mum had never wanted to give me up for adoption, but was forced to because of her strict Catholic family back in Ireland."
It was during Johnny's time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! that Janet finally made the connection that he was her brother.
"When I was young I used to fantasise about who my family were and that maybe my mother was a princess, but I never thought that my brother would be Johnny Rotten!
"To be honest, I did not know his real name was John Lydon, which is why I never made the connection before."
Janet had an emotional meeting with her mother's husband John at his London home, but when she tried to get in contact with Johnny, she says he gave her the cold shoulder.
Janet said: "My Aunt Pauline told me that Johnny didn't believe me. "I was really upset because I am the victim here. I have offered to have DNA tests but he does not want to know."
Janet has been busy trying to get Johnny to recognise her feelings and even appeared on the Richard and Judy show on Wednesday of last week.
"Richard and Judy were absolutely lovely, it was just like sitting in somebody's front room.
"I was explaining to them that I had offered to have a DNA test to prove I am not lying, but they said that I didn't need one, because you could tell that I was his sister.
"I am quite extrovert like him and I have been told I look similar to him as well.
"I would love to confront him and I am sure I will one day."
Johnny now lives in Los Angeles and has been unavailable for comment.
