Division One

With leaders Tintern Abbey not playing, Monmouth Town A moved back to top of the league after defeating rivals Rockfield Rovers A 3-2 in the all Monmouth derby.

Steve Buffin proved the thorn in Rockfield's side as he blasted home a terrific hat-trick in front of the partisan home supporters.

Caldicot Town put up a brave fight in poor conditions to lose 3-2 at home to Underwood A.

Chris Baker and Ray Jeremiah had given Caldicot hope with early goals only to see David Rees (2) and Bowen Jones finish the job off for Underwood late on.

Portskewett A made sure they wouldn't finish bottom of the league by defeating fellow basement strugglers Undy Athletic 4-0 in Undy.

Division Two

Chepstow Athletic knocked neighbours Bulwark for six in the 6-1 score line in Bulwark.

Athletic's goal scorers were David Heal (2), Chris Hooper, Carl Bailey, Simon Howells and Kenny Roberts. Bulwark replied with a goal from Chris Meddins.

Another Bulwark team, this time Thornwell, just about did enough to defeat Sudbrook Cricket Club A 3-2 on a wind-swept afternoon overlooking the Severn Bridge. Gavin Lewis, Jason Fitzgerald and a Daniel Hinds penalty secured the points for Thornwell.

Eddy Trowbridge scored a very rare goal for Portskewett B but still couldn't stop his team going down 4-1 at home to Caldicot Castle A.

Underwood B played some of their best football of the season thus far to beat in form Rogiet-Tippling 4-3 at Bishton Playing Fields. Goals for Underwood were scored by Keiron Gettings (2), Stuart Truckle and Neil Jarrett.

Division Three

Leaders Monmouth Town B opened up a three point gap at the top following a 4-1 away win at Caldicot Castle B. Mike Lambert notched another classic goal to add to his career collection for the Castle.

Second placed Mathern Wanderers dropped valuable points in a 1-1 draw against battling Sudbrook Cricket Club B. Ian Parker's Sudbrook side scored all the goals in the match including an own goal and a rare Adrian Briggs effort.

Finally Devauden Green crafted out a neat 2-0 away victory at Rockfield Rovers B to move within four points of second placed Mathern.
