Children from Pembroke Primary School in Bulwark took part in a two-day educational programme at Chepstow Racecourse aimed at encouraging young people to be more aware of horse racing both as a spectator sport and a career prospect.
Run by the British Horseracing Education and Standards Trust, the scheme is structured around the national curriculum - with a strong mathematics element at the Chepstow event - and involves more than 8,000 schoolchildren a year across Britain.
