Tranch Utd have four games in hand over second placed Clydach Wasps who won 2-1 away to Cwmffrwdoer. Cwmffrwdoer held a 1-0 half time lead with a goal from Jamie Roch from a shot in the 40th minute. Clydach Wasps drew level in the 65th minute of the second half with a headed goal by Lee Williams. Jordon Jones got the Clydach Wasps winner in the 75th minute with a clever shot wide of the keeper. Fourth placed Blaenavon Blues returned to winning ways with a 3-1 home win over Pontypool Town. All the goals were scored in the second half, through Karl Hooper, Lee Freeman and Leon Catley. Butch Morgan's Govilon kept up their winning ways with a match double over Lower New Inn in a week. Lower went down 5-0 away at Bailey Park. Govilon established a 2-0 half time lead. Match of the Day in Division Two was number one team Prescoed who's record shows Played 17; Won 15; Drew 2; 47 points. Against Pandy Played 18; Won 14; Drew 4; 46 points. So the result of this match was eagerly awaited. Prescoed established a 4-2 half time lead and went on to claim maximum points by winning 6-3. This result gives Prescoed a four point lead at the top with a game in hand over Pandy and two games in hand over third placed side Crickhowell. Third placed side Crickhowell were away to fourth placed New Inn. The sides were level 2-2 at half time, and New Inn went on to win the match 4-3 and claim maximum points. Fifth placed PILCS drew 2-2 at home to sixth placed Pontypool Town B. Goal scorers for PILCS were Matthew Martin and Daniel Bevan. Newcomers Llanfoist visited the Island and came home with a share of the points with Usk Town B with a 1-1 draw. John Lloyd put Usk Town B 1-0 up with a goal scored in the 25th minute from a chipped shot from the edge of the box over the Llanfoist defence.
