A young member of Monmouthshire's Curre Hunt has been chosen to take part in a trip of a lifetime to America.
Lauren White, 18, has been selected by the Pony Club to go to the States along with three other young people.
More than 20 people nationally applied for the Pony Club Hunting Exchange which takes place in Virginia and Maryland at the beginning of March.
The trip was open to Pony Club members aged 16-25, with their full Pony Club B Test or higher Hosted over nine days by the United States Pony Club (USPC), the trip will also be joined by four members from Irish Pony Clubs, as well as the United Kingdom and USA Pony Club Members. Participants and chaperones will be staying with Pony Club host families or hunt members. Hunting will take place in Northern Virginia in and around Middleburg, with some of the oldest hunts in the country, and just to the north in Maryland, home to many steeplechase enthusiasts and excellent hound packs.
In addition to hunting, there will be a trip to Washington, DC for sightseeing, farm tours, and an afternoon at a point-to-point and of course enough time for the all important socialising.
