A GROUP of disabled children took part in riding competitions as part of a fun day in Abergavenny.
Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) groups from Gwent met at Clytha Park last week for an annual fun day organised by the charity’s Clytha Group.
The charity, which relies on donations and volunteers, provides disabled adults and children with the chance of riding horses and ponies for free.
The disabled riders are assisted by volunteers who help them throughout the year and the fun day gave the children a chance to show off their skills with a variety of gymkhana games, a handy pony competition and a treasure hunt.
Rosettes were awarded to each child who took part as well as to those winning first, second, third and fourth places. The children then finished the day with a picnic in the park.
