THE family of Joel Andrews, whose body was found in Devon six weeks after her went missing, released a tribute to him which said they are still coming to terms with their loss.

Mr Andrews' mother Tracey Reid, grandmother, Sidonia Cartwright, sister Carleigh Deakin, and brothers Christopher and Gareth Andrews released a joint statement which thanked all of Mr Andrews'

friends who posted on Facebook and helped for the search in Devon, as well as the South Wales Argus for publicising the ongoing search.

They said: "We have been overwhelmed by all the good wishes we've had from the people of Caldicot and people who didn't know Joel."

The family expressed their gratitude for a balloon release in Caldicot yesterday raising money which will be donated to Dartmoor Search and Rescue and charities Missing Alert charity and Global Rescue Services.

The tribute added: "We are still coming to terms with our loss at the moment but feel we are doing something positive by supporting these charities who helped find Joel and will help others in the future."

Mr Andrews, from Caldicot, went missing while at a rave on Dartmoor, Devon. He was last seen at around 12pm on Sunday, May 22, close to Fernworthy Reservoir, near Chagford.

Devon and Cornwall Police notified Mr Andrews' family after a body was discovered in woodland close to the reservoir on Sunday.

A post mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday before his family were told of the confirmed identity. The cause of his death has not yet been released by Devon and Cornwall Police.
