MEMBERS of the Pontypool Neighbourhood Policing Team climbed three of the highest mountains in Wales on July 2 to raise money for the St David's Foundation on.
The five officers joined forces with 17 other teams to take on the three peak challenge for the charity.
PC Rob Maddocks, PC Graham Middle, PCSO Hywel Davies, PCSO Alan Hard and PCSO Amanda Roberts climbed Snowdon,in North Wales Cadair Idris in Mid Wales and Pen Y Fan in South Wales all in the course of one day.
PC Rob Maddocks said: "We wanted to take on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for a very worthy charity which has helped our colleagues who have been affected by cancer."
They walked a total distance of 32km and their overall assent was approximately 2140m.
The St David's Foundation provides hospice care in the homes of people who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
The charity has been caring for people in Torfaen and providing support for their families for more than 31 years.
