A CHEPSTOW-based engineering company has produced its first batch of wind turbine towers for one of the UK's biggest suppliers of wind energy.
Mabey Bridge, which is currently the only UK-based manufacturer of wind turbine towers, has finished the nine towers which will be used for wind farms in Yorkshire by REpower.
The £38 million factory was recently officially opened by the Minister for Energy and Climate Change Charles Hendry after the company bought the site at Newhouse Farm Distribution Park in January last year.
