Chepstow Marketing Group is organising a series of mini events in Beaufort Square on Saturdays during July, August and September, as part of its attempt to boost the town's appeal to visitors.
Through organising events the aim its to attract more visitors and tourists and make Chepstow a destination people will want to visit time and time again.
The marketing group was formed following the regeneration of the centre of Chepstow, in order to continue the work of the regeneration group, and is a partnership between Chepstow Chamber of Commerce, Chepstow Town Council, Monmouthshire County Council, Chepstow Festival, Creative Cultivators and Chepstow Tourist Information Centre. Representatives are elected onto the group by their various organisations.
Funding for the Group's activities comes from various sources.
Chepstow Town Council supports several publications from its marketing budget and the rest of the income is raised from the small fee charged to stallholders at the mini producers market and from sponsorship and donations.
Chepstow Marketing Group is keen to get the community involved in this project and would welcome ideas and volunteers to organise entertainments.
