In South East Wales Cricket League Division 1 mid-table side Sudbrook suffered a 41-run loss against Tondu.

The latter elected to bat first after winning the toss, making 217-8.

Sudbrook's top bowler, Max Warby, took three wickets for 44 runs including a maiden.

He was aided by George Lloyd (2-46 and a maiden), skipper Jamie Watkins (2-34), and Carl Morgan (1-24 and four maidens). Sudbrook's opener Matthew Kinchin (27) and Ross Lewis (54) attempted a solid start to chase the total, but were rushed as Scott O'Leary (24) and Morgan (24 not out) ran out of time.

Meanwhile, in Division 4, Chepstow's second team had a good win against Cardiff's second team by restricting their hosts to 200-8.

Chepstow's star performer Bruno Chitnis took three wickets for 23 runs in his three overs, and other wicket takers included Eddie Hillman (2-29), Malith Madurasinghe (1-38 and a maiden), and Philip Richardson (1-19). Chepstow's openers Madurasinghe and Chitnis added scores of 34 and 32, setting the stage for a strong start.

Following the departure of Ben Tindall for 19, Richardson made an undefeated 47, steering the team towards victory alongside skipper Cam Rees (14) and keeper Jon Huws (12). Filip Chitnis finalised the victory with 5 not out, raising the team's score to 203-7.

In the same Division, Usk's second team secured a 7-wicket win against Whitchurch-Heath's second team.

After W-H elected to bat first, the team were all out for just 99 in the 29th over.

Usk's main bowlers included Jake Roderick (3-24 and a maiden), Ryan Price (3-27 and a maiden), and Jarrod Bluck (2-30 and a maiden). Jamie Rayner (32), Jamie Jones (30 not out), and Sidharth Ramesh guided Usk's second team to their victory.

In Division 6, leaders Abergavenny's second team asked their hosts Llandaff's second team to bat first after winning the coin toss.

Despite the hosts' opener and Number 3 making 31 and 87 respectively, they were all out for 171.

Abergavenny's opener Alex Holmes scored 38, but struggled to find stable partnerships until Nathan Holley (18 not out) and skipper Matthew Knight (20) took the field.

This left Leo Ling (6 not out) and Nathan Byrne (4 not out) to secure Abergavenny's victory with 175-7, beating Llandaff 2nds by 3 wickets.

Finally, in an unfortunate result for Sudbrook's second team, they lost to Upper Rhondda's first team by five wickets with no scorecard posted.

Sudbrook's second team had been all out for 134, while Upper Rhondda achieved their victory with 135-5.
